PRESCHOOL CHILDCARE
30 months - 5 years of age
At Caledon East Children’s Place, our preschool program is guided by the interests, ideas, and questions of the children. In this environment, children enjoy a full day of meaningful activities that support their development across all domains. While all educators collaborate to create a caring and engaging classroom, each child is connected to a primary teacher who builds a close, consistent relationship with them throughout the day.
PRESCHOOL CHILDCARE
About Our Routine
Our preschool daily routine is thoughtfully planned to support children’s independence, creativity, and social-emotional development. The day begins with family grouping, offering a warm, welcoming space that builds a strong sense of community. During morning meeting, educators check in with each child, encouraging them to share their feelings and discuss the plans for the day—helping them feel seen, heard, and involved in their learning. Throughout the day, children engage in small group projects, developmental activities, and free exploration, all inspired by their interests and ideas. Large group time includes music, movement, storytelling, and activities that support gross motor development and group connection. Preschoolers enjoy outdoor play twice a day, which promotes active exploration and physical well-being. Lunch and snack times are designed to encourage self-help skills through a self-serve routine, while rest or quiet time provides a chance to recharge. Our caring educators guide children through a day full of play, learning, and meaningful relationships.
