Before and After School
At CECP, our before and after school program offers a warm, nurturing extension of the Preschool experience, grounded in an emergent curriculum and inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach. This thoughtfully designed program provides children with opportunities to continue building skills in mathematics, language and literacy, communication, science and technology, creative arts, and social studies.
Our child-centered environment encourages exploration, creativity, and meaningful learning that reflects each child’s interests and developmental stage. Through hands-on activities, collaborative projects, and strong connections to nature and the community, children are supported in developing confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning. Guided by caring educators, each child is welcomed into a safe, engaging space where they are heard, respected, and empowered to grow.

Service Schedule
- The centre is on the bus routes servicing St. Cornelius Public School and Caledon East Public School
- Care is offered from 7:00am – 9:00am and 3:30pm – 6:00pm.
- Full day programs on PA Days, Snow Days/Bus Cancellation, March Break, Christmas Break are not currently offered
- Program activities and snacks are offered both in the morning and afternoon

Extended Care and Ratios Information
We offer Before and After School Care for Junior and Senior Kindergarten children only.
Teacher to child ratio: 1 to 12 children
Reduced ratios apply for arrival (7:00am to 8:30 am) and departure (5:00pm-6:00pm) as per the Ministry of Education – Child Care and Early Years Act.
